Today season on Varzina river could be officially considered as open. First fresh salmon was landed on Pakhta. According to the way it looks, one can say, that this fish entered the river at least a week ago. It’s pretty good, as you don’t catch fresh salmon in May every year. Middle water level is extremely comfortable for fishing, so that slow sink tip is pretty enough. Increase of water level is not expected. There’s lack of snow, not so much water in streams already, Pakhta could be easily crossed. Water temperature in Pakhta is +4C. From our experience such kind of fish don’t come alone, so we hope that first groups of guests on our rivers will have great fishing.
